New slip jig
« on: Feb 23, 2005, 10:01:24 PM »
Tricia's weird tunes have inspired me to write a weird tune of my own, so here it is. :) Yes I know the B part has too few (or too many?) bars, but that's just the way it came out.

I've an mp3 which I'll post as soon as NTL gets its act together and I can upload stuff again.

Nice one Simon, that'll have me busy for a while before I can play it without Dr. Evil complaining of headache, but he says it's not the tune so thumbs up from us on this sheep infested island :)

Are the z's a's, or is it part of the ABC code I've missed?! How appropriate, that there should be a 'baa' (or BaA in the B part!) considering the title... And six bar phrases... you've gone all out on the tizestylee weirdness!  ;D

Argh, I've just figured it out. THAT'S why I've just written a few normal tunes... You've stolen my weirdness  :o (I love that face!) Thieving little trixies.

The z's are rests. I didn't notice the "baa" - the name must have subliminally suggested itself to me. ;) Are there any swear words in there as well? I don't think "f ec" counts. ;)

Ah right... I don't do rests. (or silences in general) MORE NOISE!  >:D

I think f ec defintely counts, especially as it appears more than once... subliminal tune messages... spooky.

For some reason the ABC's confused concertina.net. Obviously the mark of a truly weird tune  :P

Can one have too many bars?

Yes, I expect if you were in a prison cell you could  ;D

Stone walls do not a prison make,
Nor iron bars a cage.

To make it work on Concertina.net, you need to add the line X:1 at the top.  Some interesting ideas here!  Pity about the extra bars, though...  >:D  -Steve
