Urgent help needed... Bow and rosin for electric violin..
« on: Sep 21, 2004, 06:20:10 PM »

I've just bought a Yamaha SV-120k silent electric violin. The only problem is it doesn't come with bow. I would really appeciate any recommendation on a reasonable price bow that will suit an electric violin. Also, what make of rosin is good for my violin. The string came with the violin (don't know what make it is) and I was advised to change it to Yamaha strings but unfortunately the don't market it here in UK.

Many thanks and blessed be,
Natz  :)

I like the Arcolla carbon fiber bows rehaired with Fiddler's Hair.  I use one on my Zeta J45.  The carbon bows are very responsive and the Fiddler's Hair is very grabby and I think produces a very good tone on an electric.  If you want to get one from me, email me at celticagent@yahoo.com
