Generally this is a pretty useful article.

Points I ask you to consider, Vlad:

How often should resin be applied to the bow?
How to tighten the bow properly. ("Not too tight", doesn't help a beginner.)
Clean the strings with a microfiber cloth after each playing session (remove resin as well as perspiration).
Getting started with a new block of resin.
Avoid hitting the resin against the frog.

Just some ideas for you to mull over.
Cheers,
Graeme

My first kit had a bow that wasn't even primed. Talk about trial by fire.
The article i'd read to that point, insisted on no more than 3 swipes with the cake. (As he shakes his head)

I forgot to add, clean resin off the instrument.  (Some fiddlers have a "cloud" of white powder on the top plate of the fiddle, especially between the end of the fingerboard and the bridge.  This does the instrument no good at all, and shows a poor regard for the fiddle.)
And, if you do get excess resin on the bow hair, some of it can be removed by flicking the hair with a pencil, and so separating the hair, sending up puffs of resin.
