A lot of pedals by TC Electronic have a feature (TonePrint) where using an app you can hold your phone close to your guitar strings and send custom settings straight to the pedal.

Has anyone tried this on violin?
Is there any reason it wouldn't work on violin?

Apparently this doesn't work with a piezo pickup: https://community.musictribe.com/t5/Musician/Smartphone-Toneprint-beaming-with-acoustic-guitars/td-p/14682
