Whatever happened to this?  I'm new to the board and just saw this.

Seeing as how I'm in San Antonio, It'd be awfully convenient for me :)

Yes in the near future possibly. Right now we just got done with fiddle hell IV in Germany. The fiddlers all had a great time. The nearest one to you this yr would be in Missouri. We have fiddlers from all over the usa come to these events and they are so much fun. Hope to see you sometime. dale

I guess we abandon April for the Texarkana shin dig? First I heard of it but I've not been around enough. Long drive to MO and almost twice that from San Antonio. Still - I'm up for it. Tell me what's up Dale.

Later Brother.

No one in their right mind would voluntarily go to Texarkana. Why don't we have something in Dallas? Or perhaps Hot Springs, AR, now there's a garden spot if ever there was one.

Jack - do you know something I don't know?
I haven't hearsd a word from Dale except Mack's Creek. I'm happy to drive out and see you all but I never heard the death sentence on the Texarkana gig.

Why Texarkana?  It's so freakin close to Texass...Going to texarkana is like going to cambodia.  if you want to eat vietnamese food, you might as well go another 50 miles to vietnam....

Sorry guys but i guess it's because texarkana isn't a done deal. Fiddlebob ran into some interesting news about the campground we wanted to hold fiddle hell. He does have a line on another location that might suit us better anyway. The main reason we talked about tex. is the folks there have a bluegrass session/festival the wk before we wanted to hold fiddle h. Plus a data base we were interested in.
I agree with you adam, but the truth is fiddle hell has only cost money. As you all 'should' know by now that fidders aren't rich. Staying in a decent location is better for the pocketbook for most as they don't care much about anything except fiddlin'. The cost of food and lodging is alot higher in most big cities. It could stop some from being able to attend.

Park management changes make Texarkana not an option at this point in time.

Well, its THEIR loss!  >:D We'll get together and do this again soon. Probably not in Macks Creek again? (not with the stuff that happened before there)
