Double fiddle cases - who can reccommend one?
« on: Nov 21, 2012, 02:43:22 PM »
So we have been flying to more and more gigs, and taking two cases ( one w/electric fiddle, one w/ my accoustic) is not an option.  Who has one that is travel worthy? Not to be checked as baggage, but as carry on.  Besides the crazy priced BAM one.  The ones I have seen are either way to much $$, like BAM or are junk that looks like they'd fall apart after 10 gigs.

Thanks - opinions and pics are welcome !

I might have one you could buy - a leather covered Jacob Winther with 4 bow holders.. It is really light weight and barely larger than a single case.

PM me if you are interested..

Another justification for an Electro Acoustic Violin Captain  ;D

Bobelock seems to be the best value around.  I know pros who have been schlepping them around from gig to gig for fifteen years and more.  You can buy a new cover and the hardware and interiors are like new.
