i'm doing well with the violin, starting to make pleasing sounds, and i've finally reached the point that i'm thinking i could get good at this.  BUT.  i will also add that i am still 100% devoted to the fiddle and consider it superior to all instruments, for me.  BUT.  i love all things acoustic and bluegrass especially, so everytime i hear the mandolin, banjo, bass, whatever i dream about playing them all.  without getting too long-winded, i want to learn a secondary instrument, and i may have found it, the DULCIJO.  yep, just to play for fun, as backup, whatever.  i like that it's smaller,  i like the banjo sound, and the tuning is cool too.  BUT.  i don't have any experience with playing anything other than the violin, as far as a strumming/picking instrument, so i'm looking for opinions?  what do you all think?  like or dislike?  thanks!
