Add your own tunes to this string in a new post. Please make sure that they can be displayed at http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html
The post will be deleted after the tune is added to the tune book and confirmed that it works.

If you need any changes after they are added to the tune book. Leave a post with your changes to your tune and Robb Winn or Mark Cordova will make the modifications and delete your post.

If you would like to perform or record any of these tunes, please get with the tune writer unless they have specically have given permission in the tune documentation.

Please do not add tunes from combined forum members if it was written within the forum. Go to this string instead.

I had the opportunity to record my strathspey "Julia Rattray Carapanos" with a brilliant pianist over the Independence Day holiday and she fooled around with my rudimentary chords and came up with something that in my opinion really makes the tune.   When we get the recording back after final mixing I'll try to post a clip, but meanwhile here"s the revised abc file -Steve W.

That's a fun tune, but I *really* had to slow it down to about Q=50 or so. If I walked at that pace, I'd have a heart attack! :)

;D I think if you're actually marching to a tune the default tempo automatically drops by at least 50 cos you've got to coordinate your legs as well ;D
Glad you like it though :) I have to confess, I wrote it on a mandolin 'cos my fiddle's just not up to playing it yet. All will come in time though...

Spooky, the forum gives me a "forbidden" error message whenever I try to post the other one. Inge, can you try posting it?

hi,

I composed an irish reel in 8 parts which is too technically difficult for me to play -

any volunteers - its called the blind vine reel ... I have the MIDI for it ..
[I also compose other tunes of a more usual type !!!]

if anybody wants some tunes [in MIDI format] - do let me know

best wishes,

andrew

This is transcribed from my playing. I wrote this tune on melodeon but would love to hear how it sounds on other instruments.
I've already have two people record versions for me. A jig, a waltz/mazurka and a tango type version. I want it to be an accessible versatile tune that can be played in sessions.

I do have a recording and a youtube video of it if you need that for reference.

But I'm interested in different interpretations. My only request is if you record this tune to send me a link or a copy as I'm interested in hearing it.
