Batteries Are A Good Thing
« on: Mar 17, 2008, 01:57:05 AM »
So I have one of those black clamp-on tuners.
I got it off ebay, after losing my bare-bone tuner (the white version of the same tuner).
Anyway, it's never quite functioned right, and I've kicked myself all along for the maybe $10 I saved by going through ebay rather than a strings supplier.  It's accurate as far as sharp & flat - that is to say, I can tune by it - but, it's always given me trouble.  Sometimes won't register at all - especially, A.  Often mis-identifies notes.  That is, it tells me sharp or flat, so I'm okay, but, it'll tell me all the strings are "C."

So, basically, I've mainly used this thing for fine-tuning.  Relied on my Korg if I was replacing strings or etc.

But I finally got myself to the store with tuner in hand, to get the right batteries for replacement.  What a difference!  Now it works just fine.  No more finicky tuner!!  :)

Batteries are very good things. :)

Is it time for me to go off on a tuning fork rant yet?  :D
I want to be a musician when I grow up.
Sorry, son, you can't do both.
