Mando Camp North - Great Weekend -Great Opportunity
« on: Apr 16, 2007, 05:12:24 PM »
Spent the weekend at the above mentioned "camp".  Very Very worth the time & $.  I walked away with some good solid foundation to build my mando ability on.  Excellent teachers, great staff, lots of very talented musicians and nice folks in general.
I really recommend this camp for anyone who takes up Mando...there's a tremendous variety of workshops available for everything from the novice to the advanced and every style from Old time-Bluegrass to Blues.

It was great to see Dave R. again - he plays mando as well as he plays fiddle(but I think he has more fun with the fiddle!) and it's too bad that his workshop had to end earlier than scheduled.
So now I'm saving my $ to attend the Old Time Music camp in Oct.
I currently play Scottish-Irish stuff & want to expand my musical culture so this will offer a good opportunity to do so with both fiddle & mando...
once the lines fade from my fingertips anyway.
