This jig was found in a framed picture on the wall of “The Travellers Rest” in Draycott, Derbyshire UK.  Where we are having a session on the 14th January 2007.

I have taken a picture of it and done some research.

The tune is written Sarah Matthews a Derby based fiddler who used to be in “The Rattlers” and is now playing with “Cross o’ th’ Hands”.

It was written for some friends of hers who were married in 2003 and are/were regulars in the pub.
I have been in touch with her and she is more than willing for me to share this tune on the Internet.

We will play this tune at the session in a set probably with “Tobins Jig" and another yet to be decided (any suggestions greatly received). I think it’s an excellent little jig.

I am still looking for fiddle players to join us on the 14th. See http://www.fiddleforum.com/fiddleforum/index.php?topic=21186.0

Thanks for interest so far. Please feel free to PM me if you are interested.

Happy New Year
