Selling Guitar
« on: Jan 05, 2007, 08:29:26 AM »
I've decided to sell my guitar to finance the Ted Brewer but, I have no idea if it's worth selling or a price.

It's nearly 30 years old, an Epiphone jumbo acoustic, blonde colour and I'm sure the model is a Sheraton but, I can't find an acoustic jumbo of that name (only an electric/acoustic). It has a Kalamazoo label but, from the date, was made in Japan and cost just over 100 when I bought it.

30 years of playing in and patination and with the Epiphone hard case (100) made for it, any ideas on price?

Hmm these days made in Japan brings in better dollars then made in Korea or China (PRC)
You can use ebay to research recent selling price of such an item. look for "completed items" in the search parameters it appears on the left side of the page. I noticed that it requires you be logged in to use that feature.

You might want to ask the folks on the forums at acousticguitar.com.

Knowledgeable and mostly friendly and helpful group...of course, if that's your only guitar, hanging out there will make you want to keep it to play!
