Hiscox Liteflite springs to mind. I have one without a cover (therefore no zip) and one with.

Bobelock 1002 L suspension in velour $175.

Concord Academy $126, plain but strong.

Core CC500 (my choice) about $150

I've got one of the Core CC500V (viola version of the one Steve mentioned above) and I like it a lot. Pretty heavy, but good protection and robust hardware. Nice touches such as screw-on metal mounts for the D-rings, weather flap to stop the rain getting in and a subway handle. I'd recommend it, though it does have a zip.

If you want no-nonsense and without a zip, I think the Hiscox no-cover flight cases look good and apparently they are very strong. Not sure about availability in the US though.
