Got my 7 year old a mando for Christmas

shhh, it's from Santa.  But he'll be happy.  Just the other day he said he wanted a mandolin, so this one will be one to learn on and beat around.  He picks up mine sometimes and he has a really good, smooth right hand.

We got our 10 yr old a used piano accordian from an antique store, but that's another story.

you lucky dude. I tried to get mine interested in several instruments but they didn't take to any. Derned video games!

My 6 year old is fascinated with the piano.  We don't have one here, so he plays an electric keyboard I use for band rehearsals.  He's picking out melodies on the right hand and teaching himself basslines...very cool!
