Case Identification
« on: Nov 10, 2005, 04:14:47 PM »
In thinking about a new topic I realized there is no means of identification on, or inside, any of my fiddle cases.    It's something I must correct and I guess I'm not the only one...........

If you get a few blobs of the tacky but non-stick gel that holds on free bingo cards to magazines, use that to pin a name / phone no. card label on the inside of a sometimes furry case. It won't fall off nor damage the lining if you remove it.
Just don't put your address on it!

Blaise and Kevin at the Electric Violin Shop insisted I take one of these the day I stopped in there.   I haven't actually written my name on it yet, guess I'll do it now while I'm thinking about it.   The insert is made for standard size business cards, might even be able to fit a spare card or two in there.

No, you're not the only one. I must get around to doing something about that too...

I put a standard luggage tag on my case when I carried it to Spain in Sept.  I have simply left it on.

What's your concern about address?

I've simply stuck a self-stick address label (with my cell phone # written in on the bottom) on the ribbon that goes behind the bow holders.  It stays pretty well there, occasionally needs to be pressed back down.  I've been meaning to do something more permanent but this works for now.  Suppose I should get some luggage tags for the outside of the cases though. -Steve

I have one of those bright lime green luggage tags on my case, that way you always know which is yours.
