Title: Filidhean
Post by: graeme on Nov 30, 2019, 10:58:49 PM
Alison Stringer and Elena Kopteva are a wonderful duo (fiddle and cello) who have a first class CD in Unspoken Weavings.

We can all learn about ensemble playing from this thoughtfully written and performed music.

Search YouTube for some clips, like this one:

Bravo, Filidhean.

Sorry, rardAmawl, I can't help with the translation question.

But, I can point everyone to the Filidhean site, and ask that you scan their blog section for some good advice on bridging across to Celtic fiddling (and cello playing).

Go to the "blog".

Now, if we give these musicians some encouragement, they are willing to help all of us.

(You might even buy their CD: I did, and it is well worth the pennies.)
