Title: Cool new pegs

These thingies are called polymer pegs, for want of a better name.  They're constructed of an incredibly strong and high-tech polymer, which allows for continual ease in tuning.  They don't sweat or swell, so they're great for fiddlers or festival playing, they don't crack, or stick in the peg box, and they don't wear out.

They come in groovy colors, so you fiddlers with colored instruments or electric violins might want to check 'em out.

Anyone interested in a set should PM me.  Bob, if you think there's an interest in these in the UK let me know and we can work something out.

But, are they better than a good set of wood pegs and what about the price?  Because they are stronger than wood, would they in time harm the peg box?  What is the test history information?

Interesting (and I could use some new pegs?) what are the dimensions on these Taper Length Etc...? Can you cut off the excess length? How is the grip on the peg hole (wouldn't want a slippery peg)?

Pilgrum, I wouldn't know.  We've only had these a short while.  They were actually developed by a company that is constructing a complete polymer violin.  The violins haven't come out of testing stages yet, but the pegs have.  T
