OK Heidi - so that glittering stud on your ear was really a wireless mic, and the secret recorder was in your purse? Well, I never!

LOL  Yes, it's all very James Bond, you know. My super secret spy recording device.  ;)

Gill

I think it's the Norwegian Polka. Another one of Bill's tunes (Bill being the big bearded fella with glasses).

Thanks Woody.  I liked several of Bills tunes from what I remember.

I don't know the tune, but it sounds like a hornpipified (technical term) version of that polka alright.

Just to confuse things further, I found the Norwegian Polka on JC's as well. Another tune I don't know, but I've definitely heard Shetland Bill play it.

Thanks, Heidi, for the recordings!  I've shared them with a new fiddler...to let her know that FiddleForum has a Fiddle Hell and get her interest peaked to find out more.
Can imagine everybody enjoying themselves at the pub.  Really enjoyed all 3 recordings.
BTW - Anybody who can survive a week at a time with a bunch of 5 year olds deserves all the vacation they can take!  Have fun!!!!
